A little less hurt

I was browsing YouTube today just to kill time, and stumbled upon this Nike’s commercial titled “A little Less Hurt” which reminded me of last night’s run with Milo and Noel at the Tampines Sports Stadium.

I use to run 20 laps without any stop. But now I can only do 8 and not a very good 8. I was breathing heavy like my lungs will explode. Noel made it look easy, running 10 laps in 30 minutes.

Well, I’m not going to make any excuses. I’ll do better next time, even if I throw-up while running.

I have two more weeks till the new season opens. I’ll be better by then.

Cancelled.. Again

26 05 2008

What a party pooper! Just when we thought that we’ll be playing our first game of the season last Saturday comes this late reminder that the league will be postponed until June 13.

If you ask me, this latest postponement can really blow the league’s credibility out of the water. But everything happens for a reason. So we’ll just see how it goes.

3G Division 1 Postponement

26 05 2008

Due to circumstances beyond PinoyITdotSG Sports Committee’s and 3G’s control, we regret to inform you that we have to postpone the games originally scheduled this weekend.

In lieu of the inaugural games, a networking session on 25May 7-9pm will be conducted for all the teams…. sa outdoor courts ng SMU. This will also be used to get everyone in the same page as far as the officiating is concerned. Since we have some courts booked on that evening, we can have a couple of friendly games na rin – complete with referees and table officials.

I ask for everyone’s understanding sa situation natin na ito…. It is for the league’s best interest that we have to defer the opening to provide better venue for our players and for our sponsors.

DYH – Trash Talk

23 05 2008

Tomorrow’s the opening of the PinoyIT 3rd season. Sure enough, the boys are all fired up for it. They’re even trash talking each other right now.

But before you go moral about it, here’s an explanation why trash talk is essential to basketball (or for any other sports).

Magic Johnson said that in the NBA, the 3 biggest trash talkers are Larry Bird, Michael Jordan, and Reggie Miller. But these are not just all talk. They know how to back it up.

So, whenever you decide to open your trap, you have to bring it. Else, you better not play at all.
