Wawa sets new Bisaya team soon…or next season?

16 05 2008

May 16, 2008 – There’s a speculation floating around that Emerio’s Ed “Wawa” Vergara will be forming a Bisaya team soon. Probably by next season. Roy Yumul of Emerio is unavailable for comments and only with this excuse:

“..sensya na limited access ko sa internet eh. Antena lang kasi eh. Lintik na SMART Bro. kapag maulap wala na signal.”

The Dunamis, Forza, and Emerio also consists of blue-collared Visayans the likes of Ed Vergara, Al Bughao, Manuel Kuizon, Patric Nollora, and Enteng “#1 Pick” Carillo.

If it’s true, then this would not be the first time that a Visayan team will participate in a basketball league in Singapore. The Cebu Boys once played in a church league until they became inactive. Enteng Carillo was a member of this team and played regularly in Melville’s Sunday pick-up games. This is where the Visayans where discovered as talents to bulk up Dunamis’ defense.
