Week4: Cruise Control

11 07 2008

First and foremost, the Team Dunamis, Team Forza, and Team Emerio would like to take this opportunity to offer our condolences to the family of Gilbert Angeles.

As we all know, Gilbert passed away two weeks ago. And we’ll leave it as that.

Now on with our updates.

The Team Forza had their first official win while the Team Emerio is still looking to get their footing. The Team Dunamis did however had their rest and is looking to bounce back in contention this weekend.

Team Dunamis to face Team East Uno

July 11 – With their worst loss of the season, the Team Dunamis plans to bounce back to their winning ways this Saturday, July 12, against the 3rd-place Team East Uno.

A daunting matchup maybe for the team, but that doesn’t wither the hope of the Dunamis who started the season with a 48-point win.

The team has always been resilient and determined to win whatever it takes. They understand that this season’s format is a knockout round, so for the Team Dunamis, every bucket counts, every win is a must.

The team’s matchup against the Team East Uno is on July 12, 1.30pm, Sengkang Community Club.

Team Forza cruises to first win vs Team Rapza

July 6 – The Team Forza has always been good on paper. It just took them a couple of tries to get things going.

Last Sunday, they proved how deadly and deep their roster is. Behind the 1-2-3 combo of league MVP Richard Manguera (23pts) , Ryan “The Face” Gonzales (19pts) and rookie Ruel “Gabo” Gaborni (18pts) they combined 60 of the team’s 93 points. Eugene Bandagosa added in 11 points to be the fourth Forza to score in double digits.

The Team Rapza did however played a close game from the get-go, leading the first quarter by 13-12. Until the Team Forza broke away in the 2nd and 3rd quarter out-scoring their opponent 52-17.

The Team Forza won 93-62 and will enjoy a 1-game break this weekend.

Forza Boxscore: R.Manguera (23); R.Gonzales (19); R.Gaborni (18); E.Bandagosa (11); M.Ilagan (6); V.Lacson (6); E.Samson (4); M.Kuizon (2); C.Timbas (2); J.Diaz (2);

Team Emerio falls short to DL Resources, 67-72

July 6 – The hottest team last season are now facing challenges in getting their first win. And although they poured out their best effort last Sunday against the DL Resources, the latter still managed to pull away with a 5-point victory.

Team Emerio is hoping their matchup tomorrow against MOMO will be the start of something good. Game is on 3pm, Sengkang Community Club.
