Dunamis means Power…
A Singapore-based amateur Filipino Basketball Team organized on July 10, 2006.
Since its launch, Dunamis has gained momentum and the team’s exposure is growing each week, ever since the team’s formation and first win in August 3, 2006. In fact, such is the momentum that the team has built up, that the team has decided to make a move to becoming a true commercial entity. Preparing the team and the team brand for a big explosion in amateur basketball entertainment ever seen by Filipino IT Community.
The word dunamis appears in Aristotle’s works as a term for what is only potentially real. The word can be translated by such terms as power, capacity, potential, potency, capability and
faculty (ability, skill, or power). Aristotle contrasted dunamis with energeia.
